Multitec project for Waldhaus Flims Mountain Resort & Spa

Alpiq InTec has been awarded a multitec tender for the design, renovation and installation of building technology for the renowned five-star Waldhaus Flims hotel. Work began in September, and the hotel will reopen in mid-December 2016.

The multitec project at Waldhaus Flims comprises the modernisation of all building technology in the four buildings: the Grand Hotel Waldhaus, the Pavilion, the Villa Silvana and the Chalet Belmont. More specifically, Alpiq InTec specialists from Chur, Zurich and St. Gallen are modernising the heating, ventilation, sanitation, refrigeration, electrical and fire alarm systems. The IT infrastructures, such as the LAN, Wi-Fi networks, PBX (telephone system), infotainment system including TV, and the building automation are also being modernised.

Alpiq InTec is implementing the integrated building technology, from planning through to installation, commissioning and maintenance. By installing state-of-the-art technologies, the hotel will be able to reduce its energy consumption and minimise its CO2 emissions.

The Waldhaus Flims Mountain Resort & Spa is being comprehensively renovated in the coming months in order to raise the historic resort to a new level in terms of luxury and comfort and to provide its guests with an unforgettable hotel experience. The Park Hotel Waldhaus, as it was formerly known, was taken over in December 2015 by Z Capital Partners, who are headquartered in the USA. The Waldhaus Flims is its first hotel acquisition in Europe.
