A unique setting: Lucendro dam
It's not every day that a concert is held in a dam. And that presents a challenge for the nine cellists that make up the Violoncello Ensemble SaltoCello. It involves a great deal of planning, and there are many special factors to take into account: the reverberating acoustics, the cold, and the humidity. So, besides the Nutcracker Suite by Peter I. Tchaikovsky, the programme includes mulled wine and tea.
On 1 October 2011 the Violoncello Ensemble SaltoCello will be holding the first ever concert in a dam, situated at 2,000 meters above sea level on the Gotthard Pass at the heart of Switzerland. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy a virtuoso performance by nine cellos in a highly unusual venue!
