Greenpeace postulation: application for new nuclear power plant suspended

On 31 March Greenpeace held a drum concert in Olten to call for the application for Niederamt nuclear power plant to be withdrawn.

Alpiq told demonstrators that, under the circumstances, it believed Federal Councillor Doris Leuthard had set the right signal by suspending the general licence applications. Alpiq had informed Greenpeace to this effect in a letter dated 22 March 2011.
