Dominique Gisin meets ten lucky winners

In connection with the "Fanpower Pur" ski helmet campaign launched by Alpiq, the www.fanpower.ch web page has registered more than 34,000 hits. On 18 March 2011, Swiss skier Dominique Gisin met the ten lucky winners of this competition in person at the World Cup Final in Lenzerheide.

The www.fanpower.ch website registered more than 34,000 visitors between 15 November 2010 and 27 February 2011 in connection with the special "Fanpower Pur" campaign. By having their photo affixed to Dominique Gisin's helmet, supporters of this successful and popular Swiss skier were able to accompany her as she hurtled down the slopes. 525 fans uploaded a photo to www.fanpower.ch and submitted it to the vote. A winning photo each was selected from the 60 photos decorating each of the ten helmets. On 18 March 2011, Gisin met the ten lucky winners in person at the World Cup Final in Lenzerheide (held from 16 to 20 March 2011) and congratulated them on their win. All the winners were also presented with the original helmet plus two VIP tickets for the event in Lenzerheide, canton Grisons.

This special campaign found resonance beyond the community of winter sports fans. Ski aces such as the Americans Julia Mancuso and Stacey Cook as well as Swiss skier Didier Cuche placed their photos on Gisin's helmets. Various Swiss and foreign media, and TV channels in particular, reported on the "Fanpower Pur" campaign.
