The companies “Robert Schellenberg AG” and “Meister + Brülisauer AG”, with their combined workforce of around 50 employees, are active in the plumbing and heating installation segments in the town of Winterthur and its environs. Since it had proven impossible to find a successor either within the family or the companies themselves, Urs Schellenberg decided to sell to Alpiq InTec.
“I planned this step over the long-term. During recent years my companies have grown – in parallel to this, also the responsibility towards my many employees and customers. With Alpiq InTec I have found an open and reliable partner for the takeover“, explains Urs Schellenberg.
The integration of both companies, with the name change to Alpiq, is planned for 1 January 2012. The existing jobs and the locations in the towns of Winterthur and Ettenhausen TG / Aadorf will be retained.
“With this takeover, we are not only strengthening our market position, but we can also expand the existing heating installation department and extend our portfolio in the building technology sector with a full range of services in the plumbing sector.”, adds Christoph Ritter, Manager of Alpiq InTec, Region Zurich North.
