Atel: new management responsibilities for the Energy Services segment

The Board of Directors of Aare-Tessin Ltd. for Electricity (Atel) has re-allocated management responsibilities on the Executive Board. With effect from 1 April 2006 Herbert Niklaus, who already heads the Energy Switzerland Division, will also take over responsibility for the Energy Services Division. The Energy Services Division comprises Atel Installationstechnik Ltd. in Zurich, with some 2,500 employees, and the German GAH Group in Heidelberg, with around 4,500 employees. Herbert Niklaus has headed the Energy Switzerland Division since 1 January 2005. He was previously responsible for Atel Transmission Ltd. 

Stefan Hatt, the former head of the Energy Services Division, is leaving Atel to take up a new challenge with a major international group. He has been with Atel since 1 January 2005.
