Election of Johannes Teyssen to the Board of Directors

Lausanne, 9 December 2021 – The shareholders of Alpiq Holding Ltd. elect Johannes Teyssen as a new member of the Board of Directors as proposed.

On 9 December 2021, the shareholders of Alpiq Holding Ltd. elected Johannes Teyssen as a new member of Alpiq’s Board of Directors. He will succeed Jens Alder as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 1 January 2022. Teyssen (62) is a German citizen and from 1 May 2010 to the end of March 2021 was CEO of the energy group E.ON SE, Essen. He managed the transformation of the E.ON Group from an integrated global utilities company to the leading European infrastructure and customer-centric energy specialist. Johannes Teyssen is one of the European energy industry’s prominent personalities and, together with CEO Antje Kanngiesser, will strategically lead Alpiq into the next phase.
