Headquartered in Fribourg and with a branch in Estavayer-le-Lac, Albin Baeriswyl SA was founded in 1933. Today the company has a team of 27 employees and is training up four apprentices. Albin Baeriswyl SA will continue to operate as an independent company until the end of this year, and will be integrated in Alpiq InTec Romandie SA with effect from 1 January 2012.
"Our company was founded by my grandfather, Albin Baeriswyl – so I am the third generation to manage it. Because it is not possible to appoint a family member as successor, I now want to plan for the future and secure the jobs of my long-serving employees. In Alpiq InTec Romandie I have found a company that will ensure this and continue to manage my company in keeping with my vision," explained the CEO, Philippe Baeriswyl.
"In acquiring Albin Baeriswyl AG we are strengthening our position in Western Switzerland and at the same time can count on a company that shares the same values of personal customer care and support," said Oliviero Iubatti, managing director of Alpiq InTec Romandie.
